Noriaki Yakoo has just completed his encoding of Phalèse’s “Des Chansons Reduictz en Tabulature de Lut” v.2 (1546). This consists of 2 preludes, 9 fantasias (mostly from Narvàez), and many intabulations of chansons and madrigals from a variety of composers: Sermisy, Janequin, Crécquillon, and others. At the end is the famous “Le chant des oiseaux” by Janequin, intabulated by Francesco da Milano, and a lengthy “Battle”.
