06Nov24: Completed v.4 of the Hainhofer volumes, consisting of 39 pieces, mostly German dances, but a couple of surprises put in there masquerading as German dances, including a fantasia attributed to Bésard, Willoughby’s Welcome home, and Une Jeune Fillette. There were a few whose rhythmic irregularities and lack of bar lines made them problematic but not utterly impossible, but on the whole they were quite pleasant and lively.
